I think it does.
VW/Audi Group (VAG) started the roll out of fitting GPF’s to their petrol engines cars from 2017. One of the ‘early adopters’ was the 1.4 TSI engine in the VW Tiguan. That engine was also used in the Golf but has since been replaced by the 1.5 TSI, so if the superseded 1.4 TSI had a GPF, I’d be very surprised if the newer 1.5 TSI engine wasn't developed with a GPF from the outset, irrespective of which VAG brand of vehicle it was to be used in.
