Golf GTD or Passat B8

Hi everyone, i'm choosing between Golf GTD Variant and Passat B8 Variant. I have read and watched a lot of reviews, but still can't choose.

Golf GTD have progressive steering, sport tuned suspension and that's what i'm looking for (sporty wagon). Passat is bigger have same engine, that can be chip tuned to the same power, no sport suspension and no progressive steering all that on paper.

Just based on your description, the GTD is the obvious winner for performance. But do you need the extra space the Passat gives you? If so, you could always upgrade the suspension on the Passat down the road to bring its handling more in line with your desires. Still wont handle like a little golf lol, but should still see a marked improvement with some B6's on OEM springs.
