Ed,

These lights look awesome. Quick question: What are the lights that point to the side between the projectors? I just looked at my US spec mk7 GTI reflectors and I don't have any lights there. Are they "cornering lights" to take the place of the stock adaptive turn lights or what is the deal here?

I am sending this in an email as well for hopefully a quicker answer. I am very tempted to scoop these up before you raise the price this weekend...

Yes, they are indeed cornering lights, they come on when the high beams and turn signals are on.

I'm getting a set shipped to a shop in southern California, they are going to see if they can do any tweaking of the lights via vag-com. But as is, its a plug and play install.

November 18th Update

My shipment of lights have been selling briskly, but I still have stock available of the Golf R and GTI style lights. These are ready to go with the HID kits.

I decided I need to raise prices to $670 shipped at the end of November. If you order now, you can still get them at $635 Shipped. These prices are still lower than everywhere else, that is if you can get these lights. Most sell the low quality Winpower lights.

Just pm or email me if you like to order, I take paypal for payment.

I haven't received my lights yet, but I'm very confident based on feedback from other members. I do want to say that Ed is awesome, he ships really quickly and responds to dumb email questions lol!

Hopefully i'll be ordering the tail lights and folding mirrors from him soon!

November 20th Update

RHD Lights!!!

After alot of requests, we will be doing some pilot testing of the RHD version of these lights. These will be the same housings, and features as the LHD version except the projectors will be RHD, eg, UK, Australia, Malaysia, etc. These are not the crappy Winpower lights...

We have 2 sets of lights, these will be the Golf R version, no red stripe. I have one potential tester in the UK, and am looking for someone in Australia to do some testing as well. UK is going into winter, and Australia is going to summer, so it makes sense to test in different climates.

After testing, we hope to have them available by around Christmas, as long as there are not issues with the lights.

Versions

For this phase, only the Golf R style is avalable, once the pilot phase is completed, we plan to have the GTI version available as well.

To Participate

I have one guy from the UK who wants to get the lights. If you are from Australia, please contact me, and I will get a set shipped over.

Price:

$700 USD Shipped with the HID kit, these are 35W, 5500K HID Bulbs. There are photos of the color, etc in some earlier posts from customers.

Yes, these cost more than the Winpower lights, but you wont have lights that fall apart on you or worse than the stock halogen headlights.

Warranty

In this testing phase, try out the lights, if they dont work, we can work on reasonable terms so you do not lose out any money.

Beam Pattern

Here is what the beam pattern looks like, it will be better once installed on a car, but gives you a good idea of what you will get.

Most likely but it'll pretty much come to the same price anyway if not more expensive, if you were to buy your own HID kit unless you tend to just use standard halogen bulbs.
