Hello :)

Sorry if my english is not the best :) but anyway i got this error on the car cant figure this out, the problem was the alternator did break down (it is replaced to a new now) all was fine before no error or anything, i did run the battery low as you can see on the log from VCDS, even the voltage is ok now on the battery i cant reset the first error "0076 - Internal Fault" the 3 other error 0077/0078/0080 do reset but come back again

But i wonder why the Voltage on the terminal 15: 0.3 V is that low? i did check fuse 32 for ACC / Front Assist, and thats ok is there ar relay for terminal 15 or anything? as i guess it need to be 12v?

i did try to leave the car with no battery on at all do any have a clue what is going on here?

Hi Rene82,

I perform repairs on these ACC Radar modules and currently have a customer who has the same list of errors that you have there.

The main problem is corrosion that pushes the casing of the radar open, splits the rubber seal, moisture enters and causes damage to the PCB and connectors. They are sometimes repairable, sometimes not unfortunately, depends how long they have been allowed to marinade with moisture inside.

Have you been able to get yours working again or is it still faulty?

Dave.

Hi,

Im having an issue with my ACC and I see that you repair them, the codes i'm getting (amongst other database errors) are below. I have checked the fuse (32) and that is ok, it a 13 plate golf (domed long range radar) are you able to repair these and does it sound like its a faulty radar?

Hi Mr Bounce,

Definitely sounds like a faulty radar or the wiring to the radar has been broken somewhere, worth checking the wiring as much as you can first. No communication is a sure sign that it's not receiving power or that the canbus connection has got a bad connection or a break in the wire.

You'll likely have a bunch of codes in other modules like the engine management and the abs controller complaining about 'missing messages' because they can't talk to the radar.

Whether or not it can be repaired is unfortunately not easy to say without having a look at it, I offer a 'no fix no fee' initial diagnosis to check the electronics, just pay the postage here and back if it's too far gone, if it is a feasible repair then the cost is usually around £100-150 depending on the condition of the case, data connector and what other repairs need doing to the board inside.

Feel free to get in touch with me via PM if you want me to take a look at it.

Hope this helps!
