Golf 1.8T Exhaust

Technically the same I'd think. The platform for the gti and tsi are the same, and you can install gti parts including exhausts on a tsi, except you'd need a 2.25 inch adapter since the gti uses a 2.5 adapter on its exhausts.

Don't mean to resurrect an old thread - but just want to reply to help out other users who might want to do this mod.

Installed a GTI exhaust on my 1.8 golf and needed to significantly stretch out the 2.25in side of the 2.25"ID to 2.5"ID adapter. I wouldn't recommend doing this yourself without having the exhaust pipe expander tool.

If I were to do it again, I would try a 2.5"ID to 2.5"OD (this side goes to 1.8 downpipe) adapter instead because I ended up having to use two 2.5" exhaust clamps.
