Installed the factory springs. I also wrapped the Cadiz center spokes in glass black vinyl. I saw someone else do it and love the look. For $13 vinyl it was well worth the effort and I may make it permanent if it doesn’t hold up.

While installing my springs I broke the brake wear sensor on the right front. I was extremely annoyed by this since the rest of the job went so well.

I tried rationalizing it and thinking it was already like that. It wasnt. There was no corrosion on the pins. I figured this was going to be expensive. This harness wheel speed sensor, height sensor, DCC strut, and brake wear sensor. I found it on VW Parts Vortex for about $141. Not as bad as I thought. Not to be outdone, I kept looking and decided to try Rock Auto against my better judgement. They had one listed from Intermotor. Some cursory Googling resulted in the being a quality brand and in some cases better than OEM. So for half retail, I decided to give it a shot.

The part arrived today and I was pleasantly surprised.

So I am pretty happy taking the plunge. I think I may scavenge the connector only since all the wires look to need to be spliced in.

So a small update. My friend got a new lathe and me being me, decided to put him to work. I had him make a brass drain to replace the rubber unit that is known to deteriorate over time. He threw in anti microbial hose and even printed some wafers to keep from scratching the paint.

I have something else in the works. I am hoping to have it done in another month or so.

Finally got a rear sway bar. Installed it today. It’s an H&R 25mm solid and I installed Moog end links as well. Very happy with the install and I nerded a little with the sway bar the same color as the car. I haven’t been able to push it since I got it in. Maybe this weekend.

I took mine on track last weekend and It was fun as hell getting the car to rotate into turns when I really pushed it. My instructor said he saw me on 3 wheels a few times as well (stock suspension non DCC). I never drove my GTI on track prior to the RSB so I don’t have a comparison.

I have to say I’m shocked at how much this woke the car up. I love it so much.

Added in a Forge intake tube. I have to say I am not impressed with the fitment. It comes up a bit short. It works for the money.
Still have some stuff in the works for other items. Been busy with other stuff.
