My bad, wheel size information is in the virtual dyno but 25.4 inch wheel height, has 235/40r18 and the final drive shows a manual transmission.

According to the virtual dyno - your setup likes to rev...

1 -> 2 @ 7.000 rpm
2 -> 3 @ 7.000 rpm
3 -> 4 @ 7.000 rpm
4 -> 5 @ 7.000 rpm
5 -> 6 @ 6.900 rpm

Sorry I missed your post completly.

Here are the shifting points for stock Golf R (no matter whether manual or DSG):

1 -> 2 @ 6.700 rpm
2 -> 3 @ 6.600 rpm
3 -> 4 @ 6.600 rpm
4 -> 5 @ 6.500 rpm
5 -> 6 @ 6.500 rpm

what about different transmision? there is few version of DQ250 few od dq381 ...the same manual transmision.??

I have a retune coming up, complete with TCU reflash, I'll be hitting you up for your wizardry and we'll see how it shakes out on the street. No one's posted feedback just yet...

2017 6MT GTI here. I recently calculated my shift points after dynoing for the first time. Inside the shop was 105 degrees, so I may be 15-ish or so HP short compared to a cool day. It shouldn't affect the shift points though. I came up with the following, +/- 100 RPM approximately:

Gear Speed RPM
1-2 39 6750
2-3 68 6250
3-4 91 6100
4-5 112 5500

Seems crazy to wait to shift out of 1st at 6750, but the drop into 2nd is a bitch. Previously I've noticed it definitely feels faster when wrapping out first gear, so it seems on point.

OP: If you're still around and still able to calculate shift points, I'd be curious if your results align with mine
