Something I’ve been working with HPA on the background finally came to fruition: we got a front cover, massive 8 page article and a sweet centerfold in Performance VW magazine! Absolutely humbled by this, and can certainly tick a big box on the bucket list now.

DAS weekend was an absolute blast. Was invited to spend the weekend with the HPA crew in attendance. Every day was a wicked drive through the mountain pass at Big White ski resort and visited some amazing locations in the Okanagan with the group.

hah, I still exist. The car's in storage getting some more updates to the tune and turbo over the winter. Nothing to report I thought I had posted that but I guess it got lost in the shuffle.

I did get a winter daily driver though, a UMG MK5 R32. Bone stock save for some KW coils replacing the lowering springs it came with.

Nice score on the .:R32! Those things looks so tempting when they popup on market place, especially when MK4s are so much more expensive by comparison.

Popped by HPA not too long ago to see how it's going. Lots of little tweaks to the platform happening over the winter. All great stuff, and stoked to see more VR550T cars coming online at the shop.

Funny that the first 3 are all Oryx White pearl R's lol.

Man those things are a work of art. Real shame they sunset the twin snails for a honker borg warner EFR for the FTX builds. I get it, less complex, cheaper for customer and easier to build.

There was musing of the vr550t being twin turbo for very brief moment many years ago

Starting to wake back up from the winter slumber. The car's been through a pretty crazy overhaul software-wise through the winter. I can probably share a bit more after I've got some seat time in it but it's down to single digit days before HPA turns it back over to me, and less than 3 weeks until I hit the track again.

Couple small things though: fresh caliper paint, and installed RS3 brake ducts!

The ducts only needed minimal modification to clear the CV boot, rotors and swaybar. Thanks to Area Motorsport for showing me that this is almost a direct "zip on" fitment.

Car's absolutely filthy and getting a complete cleaning inside and out, including a fresh ceramic coat after I get it back. Cannot wait to shake it down.
