I'd say that it's pretty much the same as OEM. Quite excellent!

I should have went with Seibon because at the time when I purchased my carbon fiber hood and rear hatch, Premium Deutsche was supposed to be top notch. Well, after getting them, I have nothing good to say about the company except that they are super light but as far as fitment goes and being an OEM replica, it fucking sucks!

Yeah I think we've talked about this in another thread. My only dealing with him was really negative and took tons of work on my end to get things right, and even then I had to still pay shipping on the return to Malaysia. What a PoS.

Which hood did you get from them?
level 1 vented hood. wasn't vented, didn't fit right, so much air comes in on one side that it makes the car unstable and shook the hood prop off.

Yeah I got their level 2 hood and I had to dremel the shit out of it to make it a true vented hood and there's a decent size gap on the passenger side of the hood.
sounds like the same mold. the car is much more unstable at 120+ with it, it's my #1 priority to get rid of it right now.

Today was the spring cruise for the local VW community. It was also the first day I got the car in my fulltime possession for feedback and testing in the last few months.
The car’s driving excellent on the full verkline catalog. It’s definitely harsher but it’s so sharp to react and respond to inputs, and having the bump steer full dialed out in the rear was amazing!
The cruise left from HPA’s new shop, and @Jonathan_HPA and I cruised together. I definitely think 6 >> 5 here.
I have it for a few weeks and we’ll crystallize the config of the car for the track season. Hyped!

Ok, so here's the one bolt you can't remove without dropping the subframe for the wishbones. Verkline says to use OEM bolts, and naturally you would say "well just flip it around so the nut is on this side and you can take it out without dropping it". Well, the collar on the OEM bolt interferes with the little bracket on the other side. Perhaps the manual wasn't updated to reflect this isn't the case after they added that little reinforcement member? The other side is the bottom of the transmission, and in the OEM position so not sure what magic they expect me to cast to make it feasible.
I'm not making adjustments to track width or camber using that heim joint though so technically, they are correct on that front. The camber plate up top allows me all the camber I could need atm.
Completely switching topics though: first track day is confirmed for May 9th. Let's fuckin go!
