So basically another IS38+ option, with increased reliability and a bit more power.
It's similar to going from an IS20 to an IS38. It's a good upgrade and what really makes this shine in my opinion is the transient response. Tuned and drove lots of big turbos that frankly have a lot of lag. A quick spooling turbo is responsive and that makes is great for street driving and track driving where you need transient response such as autox and tight road courses.

This sounds about right. The Pmax stg1 spools around 2800 rpm to full boost in 4th, the TPC20 around 3200, Vortex around 3300-3350. Price tuned for a drop in including actuator is around 1800 for PMAX, 2200 TPC20 and 2600 Vortex. It's great to have choice.

Half a year later with this turbo and it remains reliable. Peak boost around 28psi daily driven on our dev Golf R.
Awesome! Cant wait to get a replacement for mine, had a faulty one.
