To anyone running G Street what is your wheel and tire setup? I’m looking to get a set of wheels and tires just for autocross. What I have found seems to be just get a set of Sparco Assetto Gara or Konig Runlite’s in 17x7.5 and then run 245/40 or 245/45 RT660s. This seem good or should I be looking at something different?

Run the lightest wheels you can afford, and the widest tires you can reasonably fit, though I would not go with a 45 series tire unless you for sure can fit it, and don't care about the gearing change.

If I recall my set of Assetto Gara in that size run 18.8lbs ea. Not the lightest by any means. Affordable? Yes. But not all that light.
Some 225’s over the past couple years and their sidewall fitment… the 660’s begin to run fat on the 7.5 wheel because they run so wide compared to the RT615K

The 17x7.5 Enkei RPF1 in 48 offset was G Street legal and would clear the PP brakes with a custom 4mm spacer. They’re 15.5# IIRC. I owned a set with spacers for 2019 GTI.
