Yes right, I realize now I didn't say anything about the car. It's 2015 GTI SE, all stock. 43k miles. I have considered getting a tune but haven't done it yet. I've owned for less than 2 years and haven't put many miles on it. Haven't had any issues while I've owned it. There aren't any symptoms that I can identify - but I haven't been driving much lately.

Cleared all the codes yesterday and just re-ran the scan. All are showing Status: OK but then the following is in the details. I'm not going to worry about this I don't think since it is a priority 8.

Drive it around a little bit then rescan. You aren't going to detect misfire from just clearing the codes and rescanning .

That "fault" that persists is nothing to worry about, its informational and i believe it is from car-net.

This is the one that seems to have thrown your CEL

Could be nothing.. but it is usually associated with a bad gas cap, or purge valve.

Drive it around a little bit then rescan. You aren't going to detect misfire from just clearing the codes and rescanning .

Ha! Yes, I cleared and drove for a couple of days before rescanning. I should have been more clear

How old is your battery? Ever been changed? Might be getting crusty and with these cars so damned electrically dependent.........
