Yes I know the coding will be different. Hardware could be different too... but for comparison of like cars that's still good information to have.well ecm coding will be different. since r vs gti i copied his 5f coding and didnt do anything
If there was a way to correct this- i would Love to see what your referring to rather than the 3-5 psi- its so annoying.. i can Do the math but I’d rather see “vacuum” at idle… at one point my digital gauge showed 0.0 psi and then when VW updated my info tainment system, it switched to the 3-5 psi.. it’s a coding thing.. I’m surprised even OBD11 doesn’t have a fix for this yet honestly -so im a master tech and we all know the performance gauges read absolute. however this customer had his reading correct ecm bar to gauge without the idel 3 to 5 psi. he doesn't know how he did it. any one figured this out over the years??
@Cuzoe would it not be a simple software update to change a formula to subtract atmospheric pressure? Like i feel As if it’s common sense? Maybe I’m off the rails thinking that
Yes - if that is the correct terminology .. if there would be a software coding correction for this I’d be first in line lolOh yes, you mean software coding like of the MIB firmware. Yes that would be simple.
You mentioned OBD 11 so I thought you were talking about control module long coding, where the various options are set based on how a car is equipped.
Yeah, I did it by patching the ECM though. Researched this quite a bit and patching the ECM or the MIB would be the only way@Exley i think has done this.
Come on then, got any details for us?Yeah, I did it by patching the ECM though. Researched this quite a bit and patching the ECM or the MIB would be the only way
