I have a galaxy s3 right now and it is currently selling on eBay.

My question is what do you guys recommend? My 3 options are as follows:

Galaxy S4
HTC One
iPhone 5

I know out of all these phones that the iPhone is technically the "worst" but I have always had android and kind of want a change. I'm scared that I won't get over the screen size, it seems kind of small. It has its pros/cons but I like how you can hold the phone so easily in one hand, but again, you're compromising screen real estate.

Anybody with experience from any of these phones?

Thanks :)

i had iphone 3gs, iphone 4 and just got my 5.

iphone is simple to use compared to most smartphones. the design is much better. as for battery some people complain about, the 5 is just like my 4 with the way its battery consumption. haven't had problems with my 4 until after 2 years, freezing sometimes (even have to turn off and turn back on), my volume up button is jammed so i had to press really hard and has no click sound thing when pressing it. 5 is much faster, my 4 only got 3g working other than wifi, but with 4g and lte its much faster in internet.

How is the screen size? Do you ever feel it being too small? Right now out of all the 3 I am heavily leaning towards the iPhone because I heard they are trouble free. I have had to replace 3 galaxy s3's and 2 galaxy s2's. The androids are great devices, but for some reason mine were always defective.

the iphone 5 is my first apple phone, I like it a lot. The screen isn't big compared to a lot of android phones but works fine for me, I'd rather feel it less in my pocket than have the screen be slightly bigger.

5 has a taller screen than the 4 that you can get 6 rows now, but its slightly less wider, not really noticeable. its also lighter than my 4, forgot to mention that as well.

before iPhones i had flip motorazor phones, samsung etc. so i don't feel it small at all

Do you ever feel like when you're on the forum or watching videos it is too small? Those are some of main concerns

I had an iPhone 4 and went to a Galaxy Note 2. I know you're not looking for a Note 2, but figured I'd give my input anyways.

I wanted a bigger screen because I use the internet a lot on my phones. As you can see I got a lot bigger screen haha. My other reason for switching was like you being tired of Android and wanting a change; I wanted a change from Apple.

My main gripe with the iPhone's size was some websites (ones that didn't have mobile versions) and forums (I don't use tapatalk FYI) would be a pain to look at. I got tired of having to scroll side to side to read with a decent text size.

Other than that, the iPhone was fine for me. The size didn't bother me when texting, using apps, emailing, etc. I kept my iPhone to use as an iPod and get emails on wifi. At first it seems really small compared to the Note 2, but I quickly adjust and it doesn't bother me.

Yeah my dad has the Note 2 it's to crazy for me haha. My galaxy s3 looks tiny compared to it! yeah I was nervous about that, mobile websites being too small. For example, my girlfriend has the iPhone 4s and it's horrible how bad going on mobile sites are. I just hope that the iPhone 5's 0.5 inch bigger screen it will make it better

I'm in your boat except I haven't sold my S3, I'm never terribly excited about selling electronics. How does buying an iPhone5 off contract work on Verizon? Do I need a new SIM card?

I don't have Verizon, I have T-Mobile. For Verizon I'm assuming that if you buy a phone off contract you take it to the store and they program it for you.

I had an iPhone 4s until it died then I decided to switch to Android with a Galaxy s4. The S4 sucks compared to the 4s. Apple has a far superior os and software. Everything on Android feels extremely amateur in comparison. Things that should be stock behavior require rooting the phone and installing custom roms and half assed third party apps that will often fix one thing but break another. It is fucked.

Sent from S4 in my S4

Before my iPhone 4S I had an Htc evo, I honestly feel the iPhone is a easier to use phone and less glitches.

The screen size works fine for me because the picture quality is pretty good.

If apple could change one thing I would want a micro sd slot for external storage.

I do regret not just dishing the extra coin for the iPhone 5 and settling for the 4s.

Once you go 4G you...uh...don't go back to 3G.
