Overall the results are about average, and where i'd expect. The only outlier is the water content. As noted by the analyst, my short commute and recent lack of any long trips is probably the main contributor. I wonder how much the plastic valve cover it to blame as i'd imagine that that is a hot spot for condensation during warmup.

Try taking the long route home once in a while, and rev the engine up to boil off the water and carbon. 20sec 3k+ will do it.

Valve cover has nothing to do with it. It takes about 8-10 minutes for the oil to reach operating temp. What is your commute distance/time?

My oil generally takes longer than that to reach OT, more so in the winter. My commute is about 3-4 miles one way but due to traffic it usually takes ~15 minutes.

My comment regarding the valve cover stems from an old thread I had a read a long time ago regarding the buildup of a "yellow sludge" under the oil filler cap and valve cover of an engine. The hypothesis at the time was that the plastic valve cover wasn't reaching as hot of temp as the head, providing a relatively "cool" surface for the water vapors in the crank case to condense against.

Hmmm. No significant copper in the OP's report, but a fair amount in yours. Wonder where that's coming from?

Last time I had copper in a sample, it was a fairly new car and it was leeching from a copper oil cooler and never completely went away.
