Just now received my August Car and Driver. Tornado Red 2021 GTI on the cover and very good article about riding in it at VW test track.

Starting to grow on me, but...still waiting to see how the North American model cars have VW completely ruin the aesthetics of the car with that dumbass orange side marker placement.

I can't get over the front end design of the mk8 gti. It looks like a unibrow frown.

I'm sure it'll slowly grow on me, but i think the mk7 is a much better design

Every generation there is a large group of people who "hate the look" of the new GTI. Here we are though going into the 8th gen. It will more than likely grow on you.

I think it looks pretty alright. I'll end up getting one towards the end of the run I'm sure.
