Hi all I appreciate the help in advance

I recently have been struggling with my clutch pedal this Only really happens on a hill when holding the biting point. The clutch pedal stays flat to the floor and struggles to lift Back up, as soon as your back on Level ground it drives amazing the mechanic has said it is a clutch issue And with it being dual mass Would come to around £1400 has anyone experienced this issue before and is it worth chucking a Slave cylinder in before hand to try

I have tried bleeding the clutch but still the same issue I wouldn’t notice unless I am holding the biting point on a hill

I see that no one has answered you, so I will offer my two cents. I believe that you master cylinder is leaking through the seals as you keep pressure on it when as you say "holding the bite point" when on a hill. As you do this there is pressure being applied to the clutch slave cylinder by the master cylinder so it has a chance that the fluid leaks around the seals in the master cylinder and the pedal goes to the floor. When on a hill I never do what you describe, I actually put the transmission into neutral until I am ready to go, then shift into gear, so I don't hold pressure on the clutch system. I think that this is why you don't have problems under normal driving in that the pressure is applied quickly and does not allow it to leak around the seal in the MC. Hope you find the problem.
