MK7 errors P0471 and P0474

Hello everyone,
Couple of days ago "check engine" light showed up for my MK7 1.6TDI, with car running normally and DPF regeneration running normally.
Today we have replaced sensor 1, but the "check engine" light showed up again.
We have checked for faults with Torque and also OBD11.
Any ideas what to do?
Thanks!

Hello all
I have the same problem today: The EML came, I plugged OBD2 and P0471came up on torque app.
Where is the sensor located?

I take, it's the sensor in the red box under the heat shield.
Where did you buy your replacement sensor?
Any advice before I start replacing it?

I am from Croatia and I bought it in a car parts shop.

This is not OEM part but the replacement. Cost was about 15-20 EUR if I remember correctly.

My mechanic did some "registering" with VCDS after it was installed.

Everything took about 5 minutes :)

Just make sure you don't replace the wrong one. If I remember correctly, sensor 1 is on the right side... But don't take that for sure!

I replaced the sensor within the red box as illustrated by Keano16. It was a very easy and quick swap. I bought the new sensor for £77.96 from TPS Crawley (pictures attached)
Once replaced, I used the Torque app to clear the fault on the ECU. It disappeared never to appear again. I went for a 10 mile motorway drive and everything was fine,no issues.
I did not use VCDS or anything just a very basic Torque app. I would like to hear your comments on the procedure I have used.

I spoke too quick, the CEL is back on with the same code: P0471.
I will have to adapt the sensor. I will keep you posted.

Hi All

Just to give you an update on this: The faulty sensor was removed and a new one fitted. The car is now fine. Bear in mind sensor 1 is the one furthest from you. The final set up looks like in the picture.
