I can’t find a self serve car wash for miles near me, it’s all the wow car washes around here.
Not sure where in Vegas you live but I go to Oasis Auto Spa off Serene and Eastern, kinda hidden in the back lot but it's a nice place and a bunch of bays always open. Those WOW's are convenient but once I learned how horrible auto-touch washes are I stopped going. More satisfying to wash it myself too

Yeah, far southwest part of the valley.

I’ve taken to rinse less washes myself, with the occasional full mobile detail service.

Looks great! I might have missed it but what did you do for suspension?

VIOFO A229+ going in tonight or tomorrow, hardwire kit comes in tomorrow via Amazon but if I don't have plans tonight might just get most of the work done so I only have to do the hardwiring tomorrow.

Itching to get BadgeSkins back on the car. Think I want Matte Black and Red Emblem to match the red stripe in the grille. Wish they had a GFG color match but I think the red will look nice. Might Plastidip the rear emblem black and get the Red Inlays to match the front. Will post pics of the install process of the camera and if I have balls enough to do the plastidip I'll post those up too.

Ok. Wiper took an hour and a half to get off. The little bit or whatever was rusted to the motors bolt. Took a lot of hammering, WD-40, and crying. Wiper deleted. Camera will have to wait, can only sweat and scream in 110 degree weather for so long 😂

Been awhile!

AFE Cold Air, VIOFO A229+ hard wired in, and Liqui-Moly VW508 0w20 all went in at 45310.

Really happy with all the extra wooshy noises the intake gives. Dash cam is for peace of mind. Will be dumping in the Liqui-Moly Fuel Treatment at next fill up. Trying to maximize fuel economy for my trip to Cali next weekend. If I have time this weekend I might have my roommate assist me with the spark plug pulling and replacement.

Little update: dropped the car off on Monday for an oil leak. Picked up today and got the recalls done while I was there. Accessory bracket was leaking and covered by the water pump extension. Also learned VW warranty is 6/72k so shoutout VW.

Gramma loaned me her 96 Del Sol so I had something to drive if I needed it. Did an oil change for her since she was over and washed it for her. I love this little car. Even tho I have to drive w the top off because my 6’4” ass looks like Mr. Incredible driving it with the roof on. Vegas weather is finally nice so driving without the roof was nice.

Ordered IKON Motorsports wind deflectors and sequential turn signals. Gonna try and throw on the CS Muffler and see how it looks on a 7.5 without fixing the exits. I wanna swap the tips out but if it fits without looking goofy I'll put it on and then let a muffler shop fix the exits and swap on new tips while it's on the car vs potentially misaligning off the car. Worst case today it doesn't fit but then I can get measurements so the shop knows what to do.

Yeah, also figured out the previous owner kinda boned me on it and just cut it off with old pipe in it. Gonna have to see what the muffler shop will charge me to run new pipe, swap the exits AND change out the tips. Thought our mufflers are a sleeved/clamp on design. Back to square 1

Previous owner probably had it welded on instead of using an exhaust clamp. There is a line on the stock exhaust midpipe for where to cut so you can butt the new suitcase to the mid pipe and clamp it down.

So you’re looking at the following work to get done:
Extend outlet tubing
Replace tips
Extend inlet tubing
Reducer coupling (19+ has 60mm tubing vs 65mm on 18 and earlier)

Get a quote and have a come to Jesus moment. It might be cheaper to find the TCR suitcase used and sell the CSS you have. Then all you need to do is get a reducer coupling.
