Fake overheating...

This has happened twice to me now. I have a 14 plate 2.0 gt and twice now, about a month apart, the temp gauge has shot up after about 4-5 miles even warning me to stop immediately on the first ocassion. When I pul over and check, the engine is completely normal. Restarting the car sees the temp level return to normal. I can only assume that this is some kind of computer glitch . . . Just wondered if anyone else has experienced the same?

It sounds as if you may have a faulty thermostat.

Easy this one. Your have an electric water pump shield that’s failed and brings up temp warning light. Your need a new pump and belt kit £500 I think all in fitted at dealer.
