After my engine temps are up and good, I drive in race mode all the time. It's fun. 2 cents more: find your best local tuner and at least go with their stage 1 tunes (ECU & TCU). If you're considering more advanced tunes down the road, take that into consideration when picking your stage 1 tunes.
