How do I get some good sound out of my exhaust without spending a lot of money?

what is a lot of money? axleback or res delete are the cheapest options. downpipe + tune or catback are the more expensive options.

First you need to be honest with yourself about your goals.

Downpipe or not will make a enormous difference in what options you have.
