European users - Talk to me about Hankook tyres.

I am a self-confessed tyre snob - Conti/Michellin/Pirelli would be my normal tyre of choice.

I have just found out this morning (much to my initial horror) that my new Golf Estate is fitted with Hankooks

However ... ... ...

Just seen this review on my tyres from autoexpress, I'm a happy man now!

What are your experences of Hankook tyres on your Golf(s)?

From an US customer perspective:

Hankook has been on lots of OEM vehicle here for quite a while now. While I guess they are not exactly your Michelin or other mainstream EU brand they are not a small company. Their high performance offering are quite well liked here too.

IIRC aren't they the official tire supplier for DTM series also?

I have used the Hankook V12's in a couple of my past cars with great results. This time im trying Michelin.

What does living in Europe have to do with reviewing tires? That's like wanting opinions from the Japanese crowd on a Honda.

Anyways, a ton of people have run Hankooks with great success. The V12 is a perfect budget summer tire and I run them on all of my wheels.
