So this was the NEW Stage 2 93 file giving you problems. Just trying to figure out if I should flash with the new version or not. Was it EPC or still boost loss? Also, thanks a bunch for logging and working with ED on this. I haven't been having major issues but still appreciate it.

It was an EPC and sluggish performance compared to 91. Looks like people are already flashing Stage 2 91, lol

Bummer. Is it safe to run 93 octane fuel with a 91 octane flash? I suppose so.

You can run higher octane fuel on lower tune, just don't do the oposite.

No problem at all. Don't be too bummed out, 91 is pretty dam good and might be optimal for 93 octane. There comes a point where increasing timing advance or/and boost hurts performance instead of helping.

I'm gonna try the 91 Oct file here in a couple minutes. Ultimately, I will be on 93 Oct when he updates that file.

Cool, try it out and provide some feedback. More people testing and providing feedback will improve the tune if needed. We want to be objective as possible.

nis240sxt, which of the two stage 2 (91 or 93) are you going to settle on? I'm in Houston as well and seeing everything you're doing I think you're in a position to give some good advice. 91 in summer, 93 in winter? 91 and leave it?

I haven't had any issues with mine. I tried the 3rd gear punch from down low and it still pulls through. Not as hard, but doesn't die out. Tuned stage 2 in mid May and put 4,500 miles on it since. I can bet in that time I was WOT less than a dozen times. So maybe those few times I did hit it I used up my one shot before heat soak?

Quick update.. The new revision (stage 2 v8 91 Oct) is awesome! Boost peaks at about 26 psi and was holding around 22 towards redline in 3rd. I was seeing much less timing correction which is great. The power delivery is smooth and actually pulls hard the whole way through gears. AFR still isn't as rich as I think it should be. It was only dropping to 14.3:1 while I was WOT but I was using a Bluetooth adapter to log that so it could be inaccurate. Now that I'm thinking about it though, higher AFR could be causing some of the heat issues since of it were more rich, it would help cool off the engine.

Anyways, the revision is butt dyno approved!
