If you have access to E85, consider the EQT E30 Stg2 tune as your next software purchase. The next $$$ you spend should be on an intercooler though ;).

I wanted to throw on the new e30 tune, but they are not out yet for the 2019s so I must wait. Intercooler is in route!

Here's a quick log of EQT's E30 tune I did on my way home from work the other day. I didn't have iat logging enabled and didn't quite get the pedal down all the way due to other cars being around. I also had the ac on and it was 105 degrees out.

I'm going to go again one night this weekend when there's no other cars around and I can do it right. Seat of the pants reports over the last 6 days running is that it pulls very strong.

Are you sure the E tune isn't available? I thought it came out recently.
Yea they just released the e30 tune in the last week or two, but for the 2015-2018. Not the 2019 and up. The 2019s are just a bit different, and have presented different challenges from what I can tell. The pops and bangs didn’t get sorted out on the 2019s until April I wanna say. So just little things like that seem to be done differently on the newer ones.

Have you gone to their website and tried to order it?

Oh yea I tried online, and called as well. This is what I see on the site still. I check regularly just because I prefer the e30 over pump especially with Texas temps and it’s knock resistance.

You should probably be ok with the richer fueling of a 2019 if you run E30 on the EQT Stage2 93 file. I did it on my 2016 and only experienced a minor drop in rail pressure. AFR stayed solid in the mid-upper 11s and fuel trim was about 7%. The main issue with the 2015-18s is there isn't enough fuel headroom and the HPFP can't keep up very well. 2019s may have a bit more.

The benefit of E is great no matter if tuned for it or not as it cools combustion charge and helps mitigate knock. Tuners can take full advantage of it though, with particular attention to more timing advance. Just need to tweak rail pressure regulation a bit in the older cars to compensate for the lower fuel density, but man is it worth it.

Here's another better log from just now. I remembered to shut the AC off before going for it, but still didn't give it enough time for the iats to drop to their potential minimum first. Oh well.

Everything seems healthy as far as I can tell. But I'm no expert.

I have EQT stage 1 93 on my 2017 GTI. Had some minor knock, I think 1.12-1.75 like once or twice. Added 1.5 of E85 and solid zero knock from then on. Will most likely do E30 stage 2, but I’m a little weary of constantly testing fuel for true E %. EQT is amazing so far.

Oh very healthy. Nice clean log with solid fueling. How'd it feel?

Very strong. Especially first thing in the morning getting onto the freeway when it's only in the 80s and I don't have the ac on yet.

I just bought 2 more 5 gallon gas jugs for stocking up on the corn squeezins. It's 20 miles round trip to get it.

Ethanol sensor ftw.
