What kind of timing out of curiosity?good catch...I'll edit my post....no.....not to redline....sorry for inferring that. I had to go review the log....peaked at 28.5, but NOT to redline. Dipped to 19 psi at 6500 rpm

Sounds like you start with one of his base stg2 files and fine tunes from there.
What kind of timing out of curiosity?
Have you done any sort of 40-100 or 60-130 by any chance? Maybe dyno runs? Would love to see some date. Just purchased the same stage tune. ThanksStage 2 93 base here, at peak boost 28.5 timing was at -5.5 and 6k rpms was at 7.5 with boost target at 18.2

I have a 2019 dsg gti, and am running the eqt OTS stage 2. I have the most recent version. I have a cts catless downpipe only. I am noticing that I get post shift knock, and then it fades as I progress through the rpms. So if I do a pull in 3rd when the car shifts to 4th I get as high as 4 degrees of knock. If I stay in the throttle it goes down back to 0 as the rpms climb and stays there until the car shifts again. I can’t seem to set up a scenario where it consistently does it. Sometimes it happens, and sometimes it doesn’t. It’s summer now here in Texas so it’s more prone to knock just because of heat and stock intercooler coupled with 93 pump gas. However, even that doesn’t always mean it’s gonna produce knock post shift. Has a mind of it’s own. Has anyone ever experienced this?
Yea, but it even if IAT’s remain in the 80s it will do it. At times they will get up to 130, and it won’t. I have tested it against IAT’s on numerous occasions. It’s not consistent enough, and I can’t find a scenario to consistently cause it. I just didn’t know if anyone had any experience with this on this platform. On my 335i there was a post shift timing issue, and had to do with the AP. There was eventually an update to the AP and it was solved. So with it being a 2019, and having the 7 speed I didn’t know if someone had a similar experience with this being new. This was the case with the burbles not working on the Mk7.5, and now it’s been updated and they work. This was never the case on my 2016 with stock IC.I think you answered yourself. It's probably heat soak especially with the stock IC.
I have not spoken to Ed about this, but I have fired off an email to them about it. I was curious to see if anyone here my have encountered it. Very busy group at EQT, and they have been nothing but kind to me. So I don’t mind waiting to whenever they are able to get back to me. I appreciate the responses here thus far as well. Whatever it is, it will get worked out!Have you asked EQT about it? What did Ed say?
Post a log with Datazap.me so we can see for ourself. Also do the regular checks add 2 gallons of E85 and top of the tank, if that does not clear it up you can check the plugs and add injector cleaner ETC.I have not spoken to Ed about this, but I have fired off an email to them about it. Yea I definitely got the TC part under control after a little bit. I realized that was part of the issue back in April. I am switching to a near by shell station to see how it responds as I know eqt prefers their gas. I will also throw in a splash of e85 if the the shell gas doesn’t improve it on its own. Eqt mentioned mounts when they responded, and that would make sense to me. So I will definitely take a look. I appreciate all of the feedback as this gives me some areas to investigate. I will report back!I was getting this too on occasion. Not consistent enough but noticable on logs. Turning off TC helped but the biggest change that made it all go away was finding a different gas station for the 93. Especially in summer heat, fuel quality is imperitive to clean runs. I have also heard a sloppy pendulum mount can produce false "knock" as well as spool-up "noise".
