I have an closed intake and some simple bolt ons

want a tad more turbo noise and wanted to avoid BOV or DV upgrade. I believe nothing is wrong with stock so I came across these ecs spacers

anyone can vouch for other than improved sound is not negatively impacting reliability or performance?

appreciate any feedbacks

You'll get annoyed very quickly. Just like anyone else that messes with the dv.

It doesn't do anything but make noise. So you'll be fine running it as far as normal operations/functionality goes.

You only hear it if you are giving it enough gas and then suddenly let off the throttle like between shifts. I have a spacer with the stock DV valve because it was free and with my DSG I'll hear it briefly when it shifts if I was applying at least 40 % throttle. Causes no harm at all. Mine's been installed for 90,000 miles.

Thanks for $50 I think is worth a nice little sound upgrade whenever I feel like it

I am tuned and have a closed intake if that matters. Don’t like open intakes and wanted to keep stock DV as I said.

Having an open intake would have made the oem dv way more audible... Jussayin.

Make sure to keep the stock DV it's the best one. I would get a drop in filter for your intake and dremel out the snow guard.

Yeah that’s the R600. This intake is def on the quiet side sound wise but I can feel it pulls stronger after 3k

I am new to turbos. I bought my 2017 S about a year ago. I have an APR open intake, ECS silicon intake tube and ECS inlet pipe. I just installed an ECS DV spacer. I do hear more blow off noise, but I sometimes hear a whooshing/whirring type noise after the blow off noise. Is this normal? I tried to post a video capturing the noise in question (you can hear it a bit better on the second pull). Any assistance would be appreciated.
