Stock for stock it shouldn't. DSG vs 6MT? Or maybe he wasn't racing haha.
There are only subtle differences between the 1st and 2nd gen MS3, looks aside. They both came with the same block and a K04 stock turbo....a tune goes a long way with them. DP, intercooler and tune and they certainly boogie. HPFP is the only weakpoint until you approach 400wtq. There's more to squeeze out of the EA888 than the DISI but they are no slouch. Those motors are little torque machines.
