What’s the easiest/safest way to swap seats in and out of our cars? I’m a pretty little fella and I’m a little worried about knocking the shit out of a pillar or door sill.
Towel on door sills.
unplug negative terminal of the battery.
Unscrew four bolts.
Disconnect cables
Lay the seat back, rotate towards the door and out you go.
Easier if someone helps you to lift it.
I would add put a towel over your steering wheel and adjust it full up/forward. I've heard you can scratch that with the rails also .
Oh, raise the seat to maximum height to get the bolts/connectors undone, sliding fore/aft as necessary. Then lower the seat to the lowest height to take it out. That makes it "smaller" so you're less likely to scratch things on the way.
