If you really want an Is38 I think the L380 is always a better choice vs an oem is38 since same price but much stronger and more reliable.

however if i was doing it again I'd just get an EQT turbo or stick with I20, while the dyno sheets make it look like there is less torque for these smaller hybrids, on the street the difference is virtually nothing and the higher rpm power is awesome. I don't think the is38 is enough of an upgrade to make all the cost worth it and EQT is almost the same price once you're done, and the torque especially on E blend with HPFP is excellent

if you're going to run and tune for an E blend also make sure you get the Fuel It sensor so you can see how strong your E blend is real time. well worth the money to not blow your engine up.

Fuel it or Zeitronix sensor or similar solution for sure. Well worth the small investment.
