Those who are running DSR disabled, have you encountered any vcds codes from associated modules? I disabled it and keep getting the following code:

Address 03: ABS Brakes Labels: 5Q0-907-379-ESP-V1.clb
Control Module Part Number: 5Q0 614 517 AF HW: 5Q0 614 517 AF

When I clear the code, it immediately comes back. When I reactivate DSR and clear the code, it goes away and never comes back. So I assume it has something to do with ABS brake module, ESP and DSR not playing well together when it is disabled. I have seen a couple people disable DSR on the forum, but no one mentions this? Anyone else seeing this code?

Thanks.

Are these faults triggering a dash light?

I have not scanned my car since activating this tweak so I don't know if there's a soft code thrown. But note my car is a 2015, and it's pretty clear there's lots of differences on the OBD2 end of things between model years. I'll get back soon (next week).

No faults on my car and the ABS still does its thing. Are you using the older Micro-CAN cable?

I'll have a look at mine...as I've only recently done the change & not re-scanned since...

no, i'm using the current cable that rosstech sells at the moment. That's weird. I wonder if it has to do with 2015 vs different years...

2017 has been odd year out, 15 and 16 have been the same for me in VCDS

so anyone with a 2017 model year try this?

I'm going to try disabling DSR this weekend using OBDEleven, as I'm experiencing the "notchy" steering issue currently. I'll report back with my findings.

yeah please let me know it it starts throwing the code i mentioned. I have noticed the electric steering intervening more and more now that I focus on it. I wish I could turn this off and leave it off lol

I just tried disabling the DSR using OBDEleven and after going into 44 electric steering assist module > coding > long coding > byte 0 > bit 4, it was already unchecked. So I assume this means I’ve had DSR disabled the entire time I’ve had the car?
