Oh plenty of non working dogs will bite the shit out of u lol no doubt. In fact, I can tell u after a Police dog trains for 3-4 months it never bites the first suspect it runs after. No lie. Even after months of bite work every single day.

They are looking for a bigger target like one with pads and when they dont see it they get confused. Plus biting real is different than biting in training even for the dog. They learn pretty fast after the second or third bite tho. But just becuase a dog bites a human out of fear doesnt mean it will work well when its commanded to do it so thats more the reason most dogs are not good Police dogs.

Teaching a dog to bite a human is a lot harder than most ppl think. And genetics play a huge role as well. A Pit or Doberman would be a much better home defense dog than most Police dogs. They will certainly bite in defense.

Yes and no. My dog does not have dog aggression, at all and lacks human aggression on command - however, in terms of protection and defense the human aggression is definitely there.

I taught our pitty to not run through the screen door by putting a post-it note on the inside frame, and after a couple weeks she got it and hasn't run into the screen more than 2-3 times in 2.5 years.

I did the same thing with our malinois, and since November it has been repeated about 3 times, with multiple post-it notes the last 2 times. She still runs into the screen multiple times a week, every week.

This is right after she ran into the screen tonight. I like to think Raven is trying not to laugh at her.

I'm going to try the post it note idea. My guy doesn't even slow down when he runs through the screen door, completely unfazed.

The little one was spayed last week. Did not make a lick of difference in her temperament lol, besides the first two days when she was still weening off the surgery drugs
