Disabling XDS feedback.

If any of you were curious about disabling XDS, I have some feedback for you. Tried it today with OBDEleven, and I have to say, I wish I did it sooner. My car didn't understeer at all with it off. Steering felt lighter, things felt more responsive, and I could roll through turns without losing much momentum, compared to having it set to standard. Improved my mpgs slightly as a result of coasting through turns with less speed being bled off rapidly.

If it's this good without XDS now, I can't wait to feel it with the ST 25mm rear swaybar and SuperPro endlinks coming in later this week. Any other folks running that combo of stuff?

Agreed. Turning XDS off was one of the first things I did on my '17 with perf pack. On it's own, I think the LSD does a fantastic job and is smoother, at least at lower speeds. However, I did seem to like it set to 'weak' on my old '16 w/o perf pack.

Hmm. I've been contemplating this for quite a while. I've got a Wavetrac and have thought about setting XDS to off or weak for the sake of my brakes during track events, instead of them being used every turn. I don't suppose you've tracked or anything aggressive with it off, have you?

I haven't had a chance to track it yet, but it's certainly in my plans. I have a feeling it will be next year before I can make it out to the track.

In for more input regarding disabling XDS or setting to weak (on non PP / Sport)

After reading this, I am looking forward to disabling XDS. I really do not love the rolling resistance it creates. A bigger rear sway bar should help the car turn in, and the VAQ can work from there. A subframe alignment kit will help square everything nicely.

Hi
Circling back 5 years later while we’re necroposting 👊🏼.
How’d it perform with a wavetrac? I only recently pushed past ECS-Off and noticed XDS still cutting in on aggressive turns.
An RSB and LSD certainly put physics in front of electric nannnys but I am curious how this works out on weak/off with a mechanical LSD
