Differences between the Clubsport S & 7.5 GTI Muffler

Location

Why do you think I said it does use the R engine? Are you kidding?

CS has engine code CJXE (instead of CHHB and CHHA for GTI and GTI PP).
CJX_ generally is the 'High-Performance' version of the EA888 3G with IS38
while all CHH_ are 'low-power' variants with an IS20 turbo. The CSS is CJXG,
as is the TTS and perhaps the FL S3 and 7.5 R.

It's an R engine the same as the CSS.in the CS.

It's mapped down to keep the CSS and R boys happy.

I'm fitted a CSS mid and rear onto my CS.

The main internal difference between the GTI and CS silencer is that the GTI one is baffled and the CS straight through.

GTI

Curious if you could answer these questions about the regular GTI muffler:

1. Is the end of the inlet pipe "open" or blocked off?
2. Are the baffle plates on either side of the inlet pipe perforated or no?
3. Is the end of the outlet pipes open (where they are welded to the baffle)?

I'm trying to figure out just how restrictive the stock GTI muffler is.

Thank you.
