Just picked up a MK7 pp yesterday and just love it. When at the dealer, their big claim to fame was best pricing first, no haggling
When i spec'ed out the car i wanted, it was 28,750. Dealer came back with the "best price" of 28.500. That's only 1% off of MSRP. So of course, I haggled and got the price down to 27,100.
After the deal was completed, the sales rep said that they don't normally haggle, that it was against the store policy. I told him that if they were not open to price change, well, there are other dealers that would love my money.
It just really irks me when the dealer say "no haggling" like it's in the best interest of the consumer.
Just some food for thought.
