Dead battery issues

Ok, ignore that part - I may be mistaken in what needs done with that and how. I know recoding is required, I probably made an incorrect assumption.

My main point is, OBD11 is a suitable alternative?
AppConnect is a FeC. You can purchase a key from VW and have them activate it, or consult a retrofitter who can illegitimately activate it for a cheaper rate.

This only applies to supported MIB2+ units. MIB1 is not supported whatsoever.

I personally think that OBD11 (and all other app based diagnostic tools) are pieces of shit.

Hmm. Well, I don’t have a Windows PC so unless I fork out for a license and a hyper visor for my MacBook Pro, it will have to do I guess.

All I need is the ability to read any/all fault codes from the car, whenever I get a problem with it. Would be useful while I try and figure out WTF is causing no heat on my driver’s side ATM anyway.

Is it a diesel? If so, probably heater matrix clogged with casting sands.

If not that, then a blend door is broken.

Yes, it’s a Diesel - 2013 GTD.

Coolant is clear, was replaced almost 2 years ago - currently investigating motors under the driver’s side to see if there is an issue there.

Recalibrating earlier restored some of the heat but still huge difference between driver & passenger.

Likely heater matrix then. Seems to be a rather common fault.
