Had a little fun Saturday night at a meet. Every time I go, I always get the local Beemer's wanting to race me. This guy was tuned with upgraded twin turbos, IC, DPs, catch cans, charge pipes, coil packs (which apparently does give them hp) and was on a E50 mix. After the first race, he wanted a second race but I told him my MT was starting to give me some problems with shifting, 4th gear would not go in. I agreed to race anyways and sure enough, I could not get it to go into 4th gear so of course he won the second time. I think my linkage is shot but will have it looked at sometime this week.

Forgot to mention that both cars had passengers. The BMW driver and passenger were both under 200 lbs while I'm at 220 and my passenger was 235.

Not yet. Still waiting on a couple of parts to arrive. Once I have them, then we will take a look at it.

While you are talking about swapping stuff did you see the Haldex swapped GTI on Facebook, pretty sweet with stock GTI gearing for dragracing.

Stock gti gearing isn't gonna help in drag racing. The stock gearing is so long compared to dsg golf r and s3.

Didnt think of the A3 you guys got, in Sweden they only came with 1.8tsi and facelifts got the 190hp 2.0 gen3b with maf sensor.

Over here they have either 1.8 FWD or 2.0 AWD, both with GTI gearing.

Still that thing went 10.5 and 129 on e60 with a hybrid in 4 gears.
