I did notice I’m picking up some fender rubbing on the rear tires. Just right where the lip of the fender is.

I guess I either need to look at higher spring rate springs (if they can be added to the B16’s) or maybe rear camber kit. Might be cheaper and easier to try and get a tad more negative camber in the back.
What's your current rear camber?

Event #5 for the season, kind of a tough course. I just couldn’t pick up any real time through all eight runs.

This was my second course I designed, and it kicked my ass to drive.

Ended up 1st in STU, 3rd in RAW, and a crushing 13th in PAX.

Today was a strange day, I just wasn’t feeling it all together. I kind of feel like I’m getting a little bored of autox. We have one more event, then summer break until September.

Last event until after the heat of summer.

Finally was able to get a decent time, that was clean. I just kept tipping a cone somewhere.

Car is running great, time to flip the tires, and get things stored for a few months.

Super smooth! And nice and tight on the cones that mattered.

Had our event 9 today. This was on a lot we haven’t used before, due to scheduling conflicts at the speedway. I did the course design, and the lot had some potholes and rubble we had to workaround. Overall it was a great day, shorter times than our typical 60-70 second courses.

The car is driving good, tires are in their sweet spot. Weather was perfect for a November afternoon.

We had 98 drivers, and I’m happy with my times. I came in 3rd overall (4th with a kart in the equation). STU had 6 drivers, a little light for the day, and I’m sitting pretty good in points lead for the year.

We were plagued with timing light issues, so we only had a total of six runs split 3/3 morning and afternoon.

Curious how you're liking the Bilsteins? I just finished my first season autocrossing my MK7 R in STU and am looking to make a change on the suspension front (I think?). I street drive the car a lot and don't want to give up much of the street comfort the DCC provides. I love the factory shocks/ struts but they're rather "crashy" with the current springs I'm running.

Also curious if you feel like the UM Haldex tune was worth the money.

I like them for what they are. I’ve never really had anyone complain about harshness while driving on the street, even from the lady. When I started out, I didn’t want to get rid of the DCC as I drove this car daily, and wanted to keep it.

I know the spring rates are on the soft side, but I never really looked into trying a different spring though. I’ve been able to be very competitive outside of national events, which I’m quite okay with. If I had similar choices, with similar goals, I’d have no problems going with them again. They were loads better than the OEM shocks and EMD springs I had. Really no comparison.

I don’t drive my car much anymore, sometimes it never gets driven between events. With that, when it’s time to replace the suspension, I’ll probably go a different route. But really that’s just due to it not being a daily driver anymore.

For the haldex tune, I feel it complements everything nicely. Looking back, I also feel adding it at the point I did was the right move for me. What I mean is I had all the suspension addressed, that was a final piece to the setup. So yes, value added to the whole package in my opinion.

Overall I’m happy with everything I’ve done to the car. It’s retained the DD ability, and I can work the competition during an event. This is all while driving home with AC, and grabbing some groceries for the evening dinner.
