I wouldn’t say they are actively adding support, but are certainly willing to help if you provide them with what they need. If you are interested in putting in a little work to support your calibration ID, here’s what @joedubs and I did:

1. Use OBD/VCDS/whatever scan method to find your software ID
2. Get on FB and message “Chip tuning tools outlet”, ask if they have the stock ECU file for your software ID. They sent ours free of charge no questions asked
3. Take the file they send you and perform a ROM dump via the form on EcuTek’s website. Try to get in touch with Lucan Hetherington (EcuTek software engineer) via email to help you out.

In Europe there are many 1.8T FWD models, I’m sort of surprised your cal ID isn’t supported?

i have contacted many European tuners and none of them support thru flasher tools, only by taking to them for reflash ecu by tuner. Btw how do i know my A3 1.8T is not supported by ecutek?

EQT is a small drive for me, but I'd be tempted. Completely stock ECU 1.8T. I was leaning toward UM because they offer "big turbo" and fueling options, but this has my interest.

Am I reading this right to believe I should be supported? Not entirely sure what info you need, but here's the autoscan for Address 01:
Address 01: Engine (J623-CXBB) Labels:. 06K-907-425-V1.clb
Part No SW: 8V0 906 264 K HW: 06K 907 425 B
Component: 1.8l R4 TFSI H13 0003
Revision: --H13---
Coding: 091A00122424002F0000
Shop #: WSC 00066 790 00202
ASAM Dataset: EV_ECM18TFS0208V0906264K 001004

I believe my PN is above the highlighted one, just not sure what the 0003 is, unless that's indicated under Component.

Yeah you should be good to go. The 0003 is just the version.... ie they might make some small calibration tweaks between the 0001, 2, 3 revisions etc. Interesting Ecutek tagged yours as "EU" software.

Need your software ID / box code / whatever you want to call it. Like the guy a few posts above did. I can check to see if it's supported in the software.

BTW I'll just throw it out there... If any of you 1.8 guys are interested in getting into Ecutek, I would sell you my setup. It's dongle, license key, and 400 flash points. Everything you need to tune ECU and TCU. I was hanging onto it just in case....but now I have Cobb so I really don't see me using it. Save yourself a few bucks vs buying it new.

Is the TCU just for the DQ250/DSG transmissions? I've got an AQ250 slush box (09G), which I believe only has TCU flashes for the 2.5L engines on the MK5/6.

Pretty sure it is DQ250/381 only....but if you have the full box code/software ID I can double check. Worst case I'll see if theres any in the 09G series

Not supported sorry.

Only 0D9 and 0GC which from my understanding is DQ250 and DQ381 respectively.

Doesn't look like it is yet. Here's everything in the -264 series which seems to be all 1.8s
