But you do have a Sportwagen owner eager to provide a donor car for spoiler extension measurements in San Diego...
DangUnfortunately no, Southern California
Here are some more up close and personal photos. I only used the tape, no hardware.Could some of you guys or girls that have installed the spoiler, please post some close-up pictures? I’d like to see the spoiler from underneath at the brake light and on the sides, how it lines up with the side wings. Also close-up from the top, does it sit flush with the originale spoiler? Or is there a gab that water, dust, sand and dirt can build up?
looks really good. Now i know how my car will look like with it. anybody buy one and decide they didnt like it ill willing to take the sacrifice and take it off you hands. All for the greater good of mankind. Here are some more up close and personal photos. I only used the tape, no hardware.
Any reason why you didn’t put the spoiler extension flush with the third breaklight and rear window? Looks like you have a grab where it should aligned with the sidewings...?Here are some more up close and personal photos. I only used the tape, no hardware.
Is the gap necessary for the sake of it not vibrating against the paint? Will using the hardware instead of 3m let u avoid the gap?To respond on a question asked earlier, it doesn't sit fully fully flush with the existing spoiler. There is a slight gap, really only as thick as the 3M tape used to hold it on. But it is there, and possible for stuff to collect in it. You can see some tree gunk accumulating in it.

It's not a huge deal, it blows out easy enough with some compressed air. I am going to see if I can find some strips of like a thin rubber gasket to fill the void though to prevent that from happening.

saw your latest journal side pic. Looks really really good!
Thanks for the infoI don't know if mounting with the hardware if it doesn't use tape. I didn't want to drill into my existing spoiler, so I went tape only. Without the tape, the gap wouldn't be there. But even without the tape, I'd imagine you'd want something as a buffer between the spoilers to prevent vibration.
Thank you sir!Just ordered a type 2
