Current Factory Order GTi Delivery Time?

Looking to swap my GTD for a GTi. (Long story - not dieselgate related!).

Loyalty £1,000 is only paid on cars delivered by 31st of March, so I am, at best, borderline. Anybody know what delivery times are, right now? Also, should I be expected to take the whole risk of that £1K, should the car, for no fault of mine, not turn up in time? Dealer is talking mid March, but then he wants the deal, doesn't he.

Ordered a GTD in Nov and looking at mid March delivery. GTI may have different timings. But... Just read in the latest edition of What Car that Golf facelift is due March. Could be you will want to make sure you get a facelifted car. Sadly no details what the facelift entails.

Don't know if mine will be facelift or not.

Currently waiting for a GTI, ordered 7th November expecting delivery 2nd week of February. So that's 14 weeks, 12 if you include the factory shutdown for the holidays!

There is very little news of this "facelift". Best guess says late 2016. Some are even saying the interior will become button less. Digital speedo/rev, even the air conditioning will be replaced with a screen (instead of buttons and nobs) and everything gesture controlled.

Seems a bit unlikely to me, wouldn't VW just hold out and put all this new tech in the MK8?

The only "facelift" late 15 early 16 models are getting are a USB port, the MIBII infotainment system and a few things that we're optional, now as standard.

My order went through 1st December and have a build date of 18/1/3015 and been told March 1st so I think you will be looking mid March to end of March but once the dealer has accepted the deal surely if the car is delivered after that isn't your fault or problem is gather

I ordered my R last weekend, and there was no mention of a requirement to deliver the car by 31 March for the £1k loyalty discount. In fact, the invoice states the loyalty discount and an anticipated delivery date of April as its a factory order.

Bargain it into the deal and make it a condition of the sale.
