This will be a short-lived review/experience thread.
After about a month of waiting for new seats to arrive and be replaced under warranty and a couple of fuel line and seat bracket recalls, I finally got around to installing my CTS Downpipe with Magnaflow Cat.
I also had Nik at CTS switch off my soundaktor.
All I can say is, this combo is how the car should've come from the factory. Not that much louder at all but the gains from just the DP are very noticeable. When driven normally, the car actually sounds stock. It's only when you go above a certain rpm when u hear the difference in sound from the stock DP. And the cool part is, the sound resonates from below or behind you, not infront (unlike the soundaktor). Switching it off has actually stopped some minor rattles and creaks I've been hearing.
I like the CTS sound a lot. Not raspy or riicey and no drone. Doesn't sound too low-pitched either (something I actually don't like) and has a nice "wahhhhpp" when I ge on it
If you've been hesitating about a DP and turning off your soundaktor, don't! DO IT!
Authors notes: regarding CEL, mine is on. I didn't get the option for it off knowing once I go Stage 2 (tomorrow hopefully), Eurodyne has the ability to switch it off
