Getting the axle bolt out isn't the concern. It's getting an axle out that's rusted to the knuckle due to 6+ New England winters that's the concern.

It's easier to just spend 15 minutes with a 2x4 and lift it out.

Is it the right way? No, it is not

this sounds awfully familiar. The HP manual has you removing a ton of extra bits to get to a known failure point of a printer in our fleet -- their way takes around two hours, if you take advantage of the slight flexibility of plastic it can be done in an hour. Granted it's a little less sketchy than the forces involved with car suspension, BUT same principle.

I fully don't understand you. Worked on many rusty cars in Chicago too. Remove the axle bolt, thread it back in a few threads. Hit the axle bolt with a bfh and the axle comes right out of the spline.

It fixes all the travel assist errors that people have (luckily haven't had those myself), and allows you to use the travel assist systems more freely. The stock one yells at you every 10 - 15 seconds if it doesn't have enough manual input from the driver.
