My daughter bought 3 tickets during class last week for that concert even though I told her no because it is in Boston. $300 total

She got worried she was going to get in trouble so she listed them on Stubhub a few hours later. She wasn't paying attention and thought the recommend price range was the minimum she could list them for. Listed 3 seats for $1000 each, they sold in 3 minutes.

I still don't know if I am supposed to be pissed or proud
Pissed she didn’t get $1500 each.

Got the MTM Cannon in today. It's going to rain all day tomorrow, so won't be able to do my foam cannon test then. Sunday looks good, so hopefully then?

Honestly, I'm not expecting a difference between my cheap Amazon cannon and the $85 MTM cannon. But not to the fault of the cannon, but my pressure washer. It caps out at 1.2gpm per the manufacturer. And who knows if it's actually hitting that.

So I went down the pressure washer rabbit and felt like spending more money...

So not only will I be able to do the "Does An Expensive Cannon Make A Difference On A Low Volume Pressure Washer?" test, I can do the same with a "decent" pressure washer, and see how much of a difference that makes.

I watched a bunch of VE52 vs. 2.0 videos, and didn't feel the 2.0 was worth the extra $100 for what I use it for. So just decided to pick up the VE52.

$250 foam cannon?!?!?!?!

Man I'm still using a $15 Costco special attached to the garden hose and a free harbor freight bucket.

I've gone way too deep into the pressure washer\clean your car rabbit hole in the last 24 - 48 hours, and apparently am overhauling my entire car wash setup lol.

I got the MTM PF22.2 foam cannon, waiting to be used. Tomorrow should be decent, and I can test it on my 2000psi/1.2gpm pressure washer against my $22 Amazon Special. I'm not expecting any different results.

Since a new pressure washer has been on my list for some time, I ordered the Active VE52 last night. It's rated at 2.0gpm, and all the tests show it coming in right around that 1.9 - 2.0gpm mark. So hopefully will be a decent upgrade.

Then there's my gun. My current gun is some short gun that I bought for like $8 off Amazon when I didn't care about this stuff. The current best "This is the gun to get if you care" gun is the Mosmatic Swiveling sprayer, which costs anywhere from $120 to $200, depending on where you buy it. Which is absurd. Active just released their short gun at $80, but it still high in price to me for a spray gun.

So I head down the Amazon rabbit hole, Trying to differentiate the garbage from the slightly better garbage. And I found this.

The Fixfans Upgraded Pressure Washer Gun, for $28.

It looks just like the Mosmatic to me? Same shape, same internal swivel, same rubber decal (red instead of blue)... But like all of us, it's what's on the inside that counts.

So what does the Fixfans look like inside?

Huh. That doesn't look like your basic pressure washer gun innards, that happens to look identical to the aforementioned $120 Mosmatic...

So, it looks basically like a $28 Zhong Zhong copy of the $120 gun. I'll never buy the Mosmatic to do a proper comparison, but it's good enough for me!

I don't want to care about washing my car... and recently this thread pushes in a direction I don't want to go... but I remain strong.

You spend so much money on it, do right by it and be proud of how clean it looks!

So, the test. I put 2oz of soap in each one. Chemical Guys Super Sticky Snow Foam. Which all the things I've seen on the internets is that it's on the same level of Adams Mega Foam, which is one of the top foamers. Filled each then up to 800ml line.

For the PF22, I did put in the 1.1 orifice it comes with. The other one already had a 1.1 in it.

Did two passes with the PF22 on the right, then two passes with the cheap ZZ on the left.

Even being done first, the PF22 is holding it's shape better.

Same thing again. Cheap on the left, PF22 on the right.

It's hard to see in the pics, but much to my surprise, the PF22 did perform better with a low volume pressure washer. I was expecting the same performance to be the same (due to the pressure washer, not the unit itself).

Now is the extra performance worth an additional $60? That one's hard to say, but probably not. But it depends on the person. If you want the very best, sure. But I'd say it could be hard to justify the price.
