I've gone way too deep into the pressure washer\clean your car rabbit hole in the last 24 - 48 hours, and apparently am overhauling my entire car wash setup lol.
I got the MTM PF22.2 foam cannon, waiting to be used. Tomorrow should be decent, and I can test it on my 2000psi/1.2gpm pressure washer against my
$22 Amazon Special. I'm not expecting any different results.
Since a new pressure washer
has been on my list for some time, I ordered the
Active VE52 last night. It's rated at 2.0gpm, and all the tests show it coming in right around that 1.9 - 2.0gpm mark. So hopefully will be a decent upgrade.
Then there's my gun. My current gun is some short gun that I bought for like $8 off Amazon when I didn't care about this stuff. The current best "This is the gun to get if you care" gun is the
Mosmatic Swiveling sprayer, which costs anywhere from $120 to $200, depending on where you buy it. Which is absurd. Active just released their short gun at $80, but it still high in price to me for a spray gun.
So I head down the Amazon rabbit hole, Trying to differentiate the garbage from the slightly better garbage. And I found this.
The Fixfans Upgraded Pressure Washer Gun, for $28.
It looks just like the Mosmatic to me? Same shape, same internal swivel, same rubber decal (red instead of blue)... But like all of us, it's what's on the inside that counts.
So what does the Fixfans look like inside?
Huh. That doesn't look like your basic pressure washer gun innards, that happens to look identical to the aforementioned $120 Mosmatic...
So, it looks basically like a $28 Zhong Zhong copy of the $120 gun. I'll never buy the Mosmatic to do a proper comparison, but it's good enough for me!
