Didn't you spend a few days taking parts off? Couldn't take your wheels off?
Yeah. But I had to have wheels on the car to trade it in. Taking them off was only half the battle.
Interesting.....I did especially with the Hawk HPS aka "dirtiest pads ever".....hosed it right off .
I had a set of "trade in" wheels I had gotten for free from someone. But 1) they wouldn't clear my big brake kit that was on the car when it got traded in, 2) I'm pretty sure they were on a car owned by a blind Asian woman with how much time those things spent kissing the curb, and 3) One of them had to be patched anyway. Because the whole process happened quickly, didn't really have time to do something else.

I might be game, if I get up there again before too long. I know Natalie wants to go karting again, and I'd like to bring the summer tires inside. But if someone else grabs them/actually wants them it makes sense

Hit up RockAuto, ordered some plugs and CeraTec. Oil was just changed, and since it's a VW dealer I have to assume it's spec, but I'll probably do it again soon anyway. And spark plugs are part of the 40k maintenance, and currently coming up on 37k. Will give a chance to scope the cylinders and do my usual compression test anyway.

The programming from ACM Technik is 15% off for the next 10 days... It's one of those "Do I just do it now to save $80" kinda things? He can remotely activate the full matrix capabilities of the LED headlights. And one of the biggest things that's worse than my 7.5, is the Harmon Kardon sound system sounds far worse than the Fender system. He can flash a custom amplifier tuning that by all accounts over on Vortex, really does improve the sound quality.
It's wild how "I'm not trying to spend any money right away" can quickly turn into "God damn it, I've spent $1200."
Luckily, even people probably won't believe it, the list of things I want to do to the car is relatively small.
