I can count the amount of times I've gone above 127mph in my MQBs on one hand šŸ¤£
I plead the fifth. Simply because Texas has some very flat and smooth roads. I will share however if you go fast enough, the front end will get very light and the steering lightness feel reflects that. That's where I lift but I wont say what speed that was. Curious to see how the new front splitter will help that.

Already some minor trouble in paradise. Seems pretty common, but getting the intermittent "Error: Selector lever. You can continue driving. Please service vehicle." It comes and goes. Common on everything from the 7 and up. The lower trims that don't have kessy had a recall for it a few years ago.

I have my state inspections done at the dealer, and hopefully can have them look at it then. Chances are, unless the error is actively up when I get that done (have to wait for my registration first), I'll get the "Hurr durr, no active error!" response since my local dealer kinda sucks. Even if the dtc is saved in the background. While I could fight the dealer, or bring it to the dealer where I bought it from (an hour away), the part, 5H0-713-059-R is only $120, and doesn't seem that bad to replace. I'd probably just buy the part myself and swap it instead of wasting hours going to the dealer. Value my time and convenience more than that.

Man, I'm really torn about this. Even though I know it's a common, non-serious thing and the error on the dash isn't a big deal, I can't stand dash lights. Especially one that comes and goes. Wait 2 - 3 weeks and maybe get the dealer to do it, or spend the $135 after shipping and tax and do it myself, hopefully this weekend? Part would only be coming from an hour away...

Per usual the shopDAP video makes it seem hard and time consuming. Any resources you'd recommend?
The biggest pain the ass is disassembling the hatch and then doing the coding.

It really isnā€™t bad overall. I watched the ShopDAP video - thatā€™s really the only one that shows the panels out - all the other videos skip over.

If youā€™ve never run anything through the hatch boot before - donā€™t be surprised if you fuck up - just donā€™t rip the boot.

In a slow car yesā€¦ in fairness in my daily I never have the intentions to be going silly fast it just happens with zero effort or drama when getting there.

Grab a BFI knob while you're at it ;)

That would be the time to do it. By all accounts that trim and selector is a bitch to get off. Even BFIs install video is like "Alright, getting this trim off is a pain", and instead of showing how they did it, they just cut to it already off šŸ¤£

It just looks ridiculous to me lol.

I hate when videos do that. Real self-esteem killer, just 'boop it's off'. Like, I wanna see Paul struggle just like I am, so I don't feel like a window licker
