The comment about the cupholders made me chuckle- I don't think I've ever been in a VAG car with good cup holders; they either threaten to toss your drink into the passenger seat the first time you go around a corner (Those who have owned a MK4 know the struggle), are too small to fit a 'Merica sized cup, or are placed directly behind the shifter making manual gear changes awkward af. If you're really lucky, you get some combination of those
the door cupholders provide a modicum of support for bigger drinks but its at risk of tipping backwards at 12 psi

Grats on the 8!! My dealer has a white one and I keep having to make myself NOT go over there. I will buy it if I do lol. Bad thing is the Atlas is already due for it's first scheduled service with them, so I inevitably will end up with it in the near future. Kinda scared because I don't need two money pits and I haven't even finished the 7 yet.

Yeah. That's a dangerous game to play. If you don't mind the looks and stuff like capacitive buttons vs. knobs and actual buttons, it'd be easy to fall in love with it.

That's where I would usually put my 32oz metal tumbler. I slammed my DSG shifter into it once and broke it...

congrats on the 8 bro!!

Thanks. I love it. I haven't been this excited since moving from a Nissan Altima to my GTI, since from there the other R's were just small-ish upgrades.

Wtf is "finished"? 😂

See, if you had the actually superior transmission, you would've just passed plebians 🤓

really though it looks like a great configuration. Can't wait to see it when we come up for karting (someday)

A point with a car where I am happy with it because I have completed what I originally envisioned the car to be. I am close to that now (thank god)

Still does not compute. There's always something else that'd be cool for it. Going by your metric, my car was finished a long time ago 🤓 but you bet your ass I'm planning IS38, MPI, and whatever else my dumbass can concoct

e: that's not to say I'm not happy for you reaching a point where you're happy with it, jokes aside.

So here it is.

Surprisingly, my wife loves the car. She hated my last two R's lol.

Needs to get the windows tinted. Due to needing an RI inspection, I had to have them remove the Llumar tint that was on it. So they'll have to get redone. That'll be the first first thing. No fishbowls plz.

I need to figure out which frameless auto-dimming homelink mirror I need. I think it's 000-072-548-N. But I'm not sure. My wife offered to buy me one as a birthday present if the version I need isn't too expensive.

Zhong Zhong mods will continue. The first ones are definitely going to be Euro LED taillights. Then probably a carbon fiber steering wheel.

Then probably a DSG shift knob for the chicken nugget

Just kidding. That thing looks dumb as fuck.

Going to keep my eye open for a used JB4, but I think that'll eventually have to be forking over $700 for a new one.

Definitely will pay the $400 to that random guy to unlock the full matrix LED headlights.

Will get some bsm power folding mirrors for it eventually.

Oh yeah. This bitch has brand new summer tires on it, so I'll have to be forking over the money for some all seasons sooner than I'd want.

Maybe instead of buying all seasons, I'll buy some winter tires and have those put on. Then in spring, I can buy some new wheels, looking at the TItan7 T-R10s, and have these summer tires mounted on there. Since I don't mind the stock wheels on the car and would have no problem using them as winters.

I think maybe that's it? I'm sure at some point I'll get an intake or something. But I don't really feel it needs much.
Monica might fit.

Man I thought you were already IS38?? Aside from the Macan swap, my favorite upgrade. People say what they will but an IS38 with a great tune is barrels of fun.

I was waffling on it forever. Currently FBO IS20, MPI is the next step followed by E, and IS38. And then I can focus on all the little things.

I have been eyeing the Unitronic MPI kit for about a month now.

I'm thinking I'll just wait for @StorableComa to have stuff in stock.

though also if they make an adapter to run the mk8 R turbo I can't say that's not on the radar

Speaking of @StorableComa... Do you know if your grounding harness works with the ea888.4?
