so CSB but sorta car related idk, but the MX3 doesn't smoke anymore after doing the head gasket

the reused head bolts were torqued with a harbor freight torque wrench, everything else was 'eh this feels like it's probably tight enough'. I know they're not awfully hard to work on but I'm proud that #1 I got it all back together having never worked on one of these cars OR the car the motor was supposed to be in OR the motor itself, and #2 that it actually runs/doesn't smoke anymore and doesn't seem to have any weird leaks

We have process heaters for molds at work....we got a inherited mold in that was all beat up and damaged. I go through it and the reading on these heaters are not making sense. Research and I find out they are 24 VAC instead of the standard 240 V. Not only are these heaters obsolete with a real long wait time to upgrade to standard voltage, the controllers themselves are also obsolete.

Customer wants parts ASAP! I designed and built a controller to work with 24 VAC I'm not sure what we charged customer but I had told my boss and the Engineer/Part owner that is was around $3-4K worth of parts and one week to build (spot on both estimates). This was one of these outside my comfort zone builds but I was somewhat confident it would work.

My first car was a festiva. The speedometer broke at 384k miles. I drove it for 3 years after that, then gave it to a buddy. I wish I knew just how many miles it ended up with. 1.3l 5 speed. Man I miss that car.......

great cars.

some dickweasel in an RSQ8 this morning drove as about as douchey as one can and I was hoping they were gonna have a service appt with us so i could ask em whats up.

I had a dbag in a newer lifted F250 that had a messed up headlight pointing directly into my rearview mirror. First time I've had to flip the mirror setting since having the car tinted 8 years ago.

... do you not drive at night? (although I guess a 5% VLT on the rear might make things different)

Feel like I've seen a video or two of people rigging pop-up retroreflectors/aimed mirrors for defense against brodozers
