CSB3: When A Stripped Bolt Adds 14 Hours To A Job

Put the MX3 back together, it runs about as well as it did when I took it apart I'll take that as a semi-win. Still smokes and I have a bit of a leak from the tstat housing, but it's not awful to get to, and I think the smoke may be residual burnoff at this point. Gonna back it out of the garage and let it run in the driveway, tbh I didn't bother getting the head machined or anything so it might be warped. Either way, I'm proud as shit because first decently involved engine job didn't go pear-shaped.

Waiting for more parts for the GTI to come in, and it looks like towards the end of the week the rain may clear up. And it's pho season so that's rad

twin tips on the left for a FWD, one on each side for a 4motion. only mk7 wagon that came with quad tips was the R.

I saw this clean lookin mk7 outside last night. Nice wheels and paint matched batch caught my eye, so I had a look and saw the tips. There's another one on the other side of the city I see parked in a driveway, also got the quad tips with APR stickers if I recall correctly. Kinda want to get a card or something so I can say hi to owners of nice golf's

just had to email audi in germany to get a color code for a customers car as it was an exclusive color.

someone ordered their A4 Allroad in Fiat's Mocha Latte.

this probably isnt the exact car but its the same color

I'm surprised VAG was okay with someone ordering their car in an FCA paint color. I wouldn't expect the factory to carry colors outside of the VAG catalogue (but what do I know)

How was everyone's weekend?

Friend got in at like 6pm Fri so we hung out for a bit and then went for dinner at brew-restaurant down the street. Stayed late enough that a DJ set up and started playing, so had to move outside (loud music apparently not good for fetuses) but guy was playing a bunch of basement party bangers from back when we were in college so that was cool. Then Saturday brewery followed by lawn/garage beers while we waited for his wife to finish up work, then out for Modern Apizza. Bruch at the pub feat. Full Irish breakfast to round out the weekend.

with the amount of money it costs to do that i dont think they really care.

im not sure what it costs on our side but i know if you wanna do a PTS 911 in any color you want it costs like $25k at minimum lol

Meh, don't really agree. I think you can be "skinny" (not fat) and still have a high BMI.

I do tend to run hot though so point may stand, idk

Debatable. I'm 5'4" and BMI has never been kind to me because I've always been in some sort of athletics. If you are short and have any muscle mass at all, it's stupid haha.
