A majority of Americans just voted to give the billionaire class the ability to destroy and defund public services and make them for profit, so honestly, they deserve what they get. 🤷‍♂️

the wildest part about all of this is learning how many people actually think elon musk is smart/cool lol.

He's kind of dorky, but have your kids follow Jackson Galaxy on YouTube. He's the guy that does the show about helping people solve bad cat behavior. Hint, it's not the cats, it's us. His videos have helped so much. Our cats don't scratch the furniture, bite, scratch, pee in the corner, etc...

When they do those things, it's because they aren't getting what they need. Seriously, have the kids watch his videos. You'll thank me.
Thanks for the tip. I probably need to watch that too. She's been good so far. I'm just really worried about her running away.

First day when i was cleaning her cage, she ran out into the yard. Just kept pspsping her & following her from a distance. She eventually ran back into her cage, but it was stressful. I since put up 5ft chicken wire around patio & that has kept her in when cleaning, but i know she can jump that easily. Can see her planning it.

She hangs around me and gets close while I'm cleaning & filling her food and water, so that's a good sign. Don't know how long to keep her contained so she gets used to us and house so she doesn't run away.

I heard you should change up their environment daily, nothing big but like do something little (move a pillow to a different spot, maybe tip over a scratching post, something) so that it keeps them engaged/entertained.

Years ago, my Dell was misbehaving and Dell, as usual, was a PITA to work with even though I had the super-duper warranty and the issue was clearly a warranty related issue - a fan gone nuts.

I knew the regional guy and called him because I wasn't getting anywhere with the guys in India. He was surprised, because HE never had issues getting his computer repaired.

I suggested that he come by the house and I'd call Dell. He did and I saw the steam coming out of his ears as the conversation went on. He gave me a new computer and asked that I continue to try to get that thing fixed. It took about a month and it came back broken twice.

Thereafter, he instituted a policy (now probably long gone), that all of the regional guys would do all their own repair calls - none of the "here kid, go to the warehouse and get me a new computer" and the regional guys weren't allowed to say that they worked for Dell.

Warranty service improved dramatically for a few years and many heads rolled.

I've been moving her sleeping pad. Added a box yesterday. Sure been jumping in and out of it. Hung a toy from above. Trying to get kids to take turns going out and playing with her.

From what I recall, it'll take several weeks for her to feel comfortable around you. It is only then that she'll not venture away from the house. Do you have a chip/airtag on her? there is some GPS tracker made specifically for pets.

That's common and good advice, but not every cat is the same. My cat Rocket freaks out if anything is moved and feels compelled to pee on it to let you know it's out of place. Lol.

He does like his toys getting rotated though. Puzzle feeders are awesome too.

Interesting stuff. Funny enough, we have a Dell fleet for the time being, and a common issue with the all-in-one PCs is the fans being stuck at 100%. Funny enough, if you pull the power and CMOS battery and hold down the power button for a moment or two, then put it back together and power it up, it works just fine and resolves the issue. But if you just unplug it (while still allowing the CMOS battery to stay in place), it won't do anything.

The whole 'unplug it and wait 30 seconds' thing for most devices is generally not helpful. Step one for just about every issue should be drain flea power manually, by way of removing all power and then attempting to turn it on. Works for lots of printer issues we have too.

I like my job.

Yeah, Dell has all sorts of fan problems. I like the Dell docks, but the fans go berserk there too and drive you nuts with the squeal.

She's actually pretty comfortable around me. Out there today cleaning again. And sat down and she just kept rubbing against me and letting me pet her. Was with her for over an hour and she just sat there while i swept etc.

So i feel like if i let her out, she won't run away, but everyone keeps saying keep her confined for at least 2 weeks & most say 5. Seems like torture to me and i think she's past that as she's not feral.

She does have a chip, but we don't have a tracker. I know T-Mobile used to have a pet tracker. Might not be a bad idea.

As an aside, she's spayed, but i think she's in heat. She keeps raising her rear when we pet her. No idea though.
